Sarah Lehmann will receive her Master of Library and Information Science from UCLA in June 2008. She is a reference and instruction intern at UCLA College Library, and has also worked at the UCLA Department of Ethnomusicology and the Occidental College Library. Like Brett, she was a Mellon Librarian Recruitment Program intern. At Occidental she assisted with the coordinating the scheduling, training, and hiring of reference services student assistants and assumed responsibility for coordinating the Library Research Consultation program. In her statement she wrote, "I highly value access to information, so the process of helping students become information literate is very rewarding for me ... What I find compelling about academic librarianship is the constantly-evolving challenge of finding effective and relevant ways to bridge the gap between college students and the information they need."Sarah Lehmann
