CARL Southern Leadership Meeting
All CARL members are cordially invited to attend the CARL Southern Leadership meeting, Thursday, 24 February, 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the University Librarian’s Conference Room, Library North B530, California State University, Los Angeles.
This informal gathering gives a chance for CARL members in the South to meet other local members and the southern CARL Board of Directors. We will also be discussing plans for this year’s annual conference, the incorporation status, changes in the dues structure and in the election schedule, and proposed changes in the conference schedule for 2001. I want to especially invite the Interest Group Chairs and Campus Liaisons since this will give you all the opportunity to meet one another and the Coordinators, Debra Moore and Michael Oppenheim, respectively. We will break into discussion groups at the end with a no-host box lunch.

Also let Deborah know if you a want to order a box lunch of either a turkey sandwich or ham sandwich or vegetarian sandwich. The cost is $8.25 and includes a sandwich, side salad, cookie and a soft drink. (Bring cash or check made payable to CARL to the meeting).

You are encouraged to park on the top floor of Parking Structure II, which is close to the Library. See the parking map at http://www.calstatela.edu/univ/maps/cslamapp.htm . Parking costs 50 cents per hour or $5 per day. It is best if you have dollar bills for the parking machine. We also have a Metrolink station at the south end of campus, which may be more convenient for members coming in from the Inland Empire.
