The Southern CARL-IT [Information Technology] Interest Group of CARL will hold an organizational meeting Friday, September 12th, 2003 at UC Riverside's Science Library Conference Room 240. Information about directions and parking are below. The meeting will begin at 10:00 am with refreshments provided by the UCR Libraries.
The business portion of the meeting will take place from 10:30 to 12:30 (or 1:00 if people want to stay that late), after which you are on your own for lunch. We can lunch on campus or at nearby restaurants. (a list of local eateries will be provide)

We'll be meeting in Room 240 of the Science Library, which is on the second floor. Look for signs to guide you to the room. We'll have the refreshments available in the room for when everyone arrives.
Parking is a mess, as on most campuses. Unless you familiar with UCR we suggest that everyone stop at the one of the parking kiosks and get directions and a parking permit there. There are two Information Kiosk booths located at UCR campus entrances. University Kiosk is located on West Campus Dr. just off of University Avenue, near Parking Lot 1. Canyon Crest Kiosk is located on Canyon Crest Drive across from Transportation Hub #1 (previously lot 30). http://www.parking.ucr.edu/info/UCR02-03CampusMap.pdf
If you are from another UC campus your faculty/staff campus parking permit should work for all general parking spaces in Lot 13. If you are coming in a government "E" vehicle than you too may park in any general parking space.
