Annual CARL-North Regional Meeting

Monday afternoon, March 15th

Santa Clara University

This meeting, which is open to all CARL members, provides an opportunity to hear Carl Bengston, CARL President for 1999, speak about plans for the coming year. Planning for the Annual Conference in Asilomar is underway! You'll also meet other members of the Executive Board, and hear from the Interest Groups. We hope to have the Interest Group chairs there to discuss their plans for the year. We'll break up into discussion and planning sessions for:

* Programs presented by the CARL Interest Groups,
* Program Committee for the Annual Conference (Locke Morrisey, Chair)
* Local Arrangements for the Annual Conference (Cynthia Jahns, Chair)

If you're interested in learning about opportunities to participate in CARL, you won't want to miss this meeting. It's a chance to exchange information, get questions answered, and meet librarians who are interested in the same issues that you are.
We'll meet at a local restaurant (TBA) from about 11:30-12:30 for those who can arrive early, then begin the meeting at 1, and adjourn around 3:30. An email around the first of March will include directions and maps. We hope to see as many of the Campus Liaisons as possible. This is a great meeting for new or prospective CARL members, because it gives you an
overview of CARL's activities for the coming year.
