Active Learning as a Pedagogical Approach for Information Literacy: This workshop will examine the intrinsic relationship between information literacy concepts and active learning methods. Participants will apply content to activities that develop student-involving learning situations.
Randy Burke Hensley is the Public Services Division Head of the University of
Hawaii at Manoa Libraries. Prior to 1994, he
was the Assistant Head of the Odegaard Undergraduate Library of the University
of Washington. A frequent speaker on
learning styles, instruction program development, and teaching methodology, he
is currently a faculty member of the ACRL
Institute For Information Literacy which offers the yearly, five day intensive
Immersion Program.

Coming from Los Angeles and points west on the I-10 East, take the FAIRPLEX
DR exit (exit 44A). Turn LEFT onto
FAIRPLEX DR. Turn RIGHT onto GILLETTE RD.
Coming from San Bernardino and points east on the I-10 West, take the FAIRPLEX
DR exit (exit 44) toward
DUDLEY ST. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Turn LEFT onto GILLETTE RD.
Parking is FREE.
