Library Management Nightmares: 5 Stimulating Case
Studies on Staff
Depression, Pornography, Dotcom Takeovers, Adjunct Faculty Assignments,
and Reference Chat Confessions.
What: Using a moderator/panel/audience participation format, 3 "benchmark managers" will comment on 5 library management case studies. The panel will be made up of Sue Curzon (Dean, University Library California State University Northridge), Ken Dowlin (Professor, Associate Director, & Director of Distance Education, School of Library and Information Science, San Jose State University), Sue Brewsaugh (Manager, Library Services, Southern California, Boeing Company).
When: Friday, November 30, 2001, 9:30 a.m. - 2:00
Continental breakfast and registration begin at 9:30 a.m. Program begins at
10:00 a.m.
Where: Azusa Pacific University, East Campus, The LAPC (Los Angeles Pacific College) Banquet Room. Refer to the Campus map for directions: http://www.apu.edu/locations/azusa/directions/ or take the 210 Freeway to the city of Azusa and exit north on Citrus Avenue. Continue north on Citrus Avenue past Alosta Avenue (Route 66), go about one large city block and turn right into the parking lot (on University Avenue). Stop at the Information Booth to pick up a visitor's pass and ask for the location of the LAPC Banquet Room (you can see it from the Information Booth, just south of the parking lot). Parking is free. Note that there are two campuses (East and West) separated by 3/10 of a mile. The CALM program is on the East campus.
