Electronic Registration Only!!
The sCIL Open House will be held at California State University Fullerton on
January 25 from 9:30am - 1pm. Our topic is "Tidal Wave II and Library
Instruction." Tidal Wave II is the name given by former UC President Clark
Kerr to the expected swell in enrollment facing the University of California
system and institutions of higher education nationwide. Panel presentations will
focus on the following topics:
* How to handle teaching larger classes/more classes
* Promoting our expertise as teaching partners with faculty
* Effective marketing of library instruction to students
* How to deal with becoming "victims of our own success"
Following a full morning of panel presentations and collegial exchange of
information, additional opportunity for discussion will be provided via
round-table talks at an optional, no-host lunch. Box lunches must be ordered in
advance for an additional cost of $11.00.
Program registration is $11 for CARL members, $15 for non-CARL-members, and
$6.50 for library school students.
