CARL Collection Development Interest Group South
invites you to join us for a Discussion on
Alligators--er, AGGREGATORS
Aggregator Databases in Your Collection, Where Do They Fit?
The aggregate, full-text databases have become a very popular resource, and many libraries have taken subscriptions to at least one database. Although they're very popular, many of us wonder, "what is the best use of an aggregate database in our collection--where would an aggregator fit?" This forum will offer information, views and perspectives by a few individuals, with plenty of time for questions and discussion--all with an intent to polish our individual or collective view of this resource.
