Calling for Temporary Non-Tenure Track Librarian Pool

Classification and Salary:
Assistant Librarian (Lecturer)
Salary: $4,037 minimum, depending on qualifications (monthly full-time equivalent)

Full or part-time temporary positions may be available beginning fall semester 2014 or at other times as needed. Most appointments will be in the Research and Instructional Services division where temporary librarians provide research assistance and library instruction to a diverse community of university students and faculty. Depending on qualifications and subject background, temporary librarians may participate in collection development, research guides development, and/or web development.  There may also be temporary positions to support cataloging, special collections and archives.
 MLS from an ALA-accredited institution.

Preferred: Experience providing reference service and group instruction in an academic or research library. Experience creating research guides, videos, screencasts, tutorials and other online instructional support materials. Experience and familiarity with the use of social media. Web experience in area of design, development or maintenance. Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Experience appropriate to special collections/archives positions. Working knowledge of languages in addition to English.
