Library Assistant V – Cataloging, University of San Francisco

Gleeson Library | Geschke Center at the University of San Francisco (California) seeks a Cataloging Library Assistant in the Metadata and Collection Management Department.
Under the direction of the Head of Metadata & Collection Management, the Catalog Assistant coordinates, plans, and organizes functional operations of the cataloging unit and highly complex projects that require an understanding of the library, its collection, classification scheme, catalog, and computer systems. The position also hires and supervises 2-3 student assistants. Duties include copy cataloging and record enhancement, physical processing, ordering supplies, contributing to department documentation, and collecting statistics.
