Position: Reference and Instruction Librarian for Theology 

Loyola Marymount University seeks a user-oriented public services librarian to serve in the position of Reference and Instruction Librarian for Theology.

Reporting to the Head of Reference & Instruction, the Reference & Instruction Librarian for Theology provides high-quality reference, instruction, collection development, and outreach services to the LMU Community, with a particular emphasis on LMU’s Theological Studies and related programs. The successful candidate must have a degree, background, or interest in Theology or a related field and be willing to continue upgrading their knowledge, skills, and abilities. This librarian serves as the lead provider of information literacy instruction and web-based research material in support of undergraduate and graduate students in Theological Studies and related programs. Additionally, this librarian works on the Information Desk, participates in virtual reference, and assists with Reference Department projects, assessment, and decision-making.

The salary range for this position is $68,000-$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
