ASSOCIATE DEAN (Administrator III, 12-month), Robert E. Kennedy Library, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Cal Poly’s ACRL award-winning Kennedy Library invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Dean for Academic Services. The successful candidate will join a collaborative leadership team in executing a new strategic plan, aligned with the campus vision and academic master plan. The successful candidate will lead a talented team of faculty and staff in delivering a broad portfolio of user-focused research, learning, outreach, data and digital scholarship services. We invite candidates with experience in forging partnerships across the university, with demonstrated strength leading and assessing library services to provide students with diverse and powerful learning experiences.

The Associate Dean’s portfolio includes a strong college liaison program, an innovative peer-assisted reference program, a new foundational experience program, and growing university-wide programs in GIS and data services, open education, digital literacies and digital scholarship. The Associate Dean will work collaboratively on strategic initiatives in communications, technology, design, archives, access, and collections; and will contribute with other campus leaders to academic assessment, increasing inclusivity and diversity, creating powerful curricular and co-curricular learning experiences, and advancing the research impact and connections of Cal Poly’s teacher scholars.
