Research & Instruction Librarian, California State University, Northridge

The Oviatt Library at California State University, Northridge is recruiting for two Research & Instruction Librarian positions. The successful candidates will participate in all aspects of library reference/research consultation services, both in-person and electronic, in a bustling Learning Commons. Depending on background, the Research and Instruction Librarians will provide general and/or discipline-specific library and information literacy instructional services, both in-person and online. The successful candidates will develop discipline-specific online research guides and/or digital learning objects in support of student research needs. Depending on interest and/or background, the positions also will participate in liaison and collection development activities for one or more disciplines within the social & behavioral sciences, humanities, or sciences (to be determined).

This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Senior Assistant Librarian or Associate Librarian level, with attendant expectations for professional competence, service and scholarship. Some evening and weekend work is required.
