Many faculty have joint appointments in other Divisions and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration centers across campus.

Located in the Dabney Library, the HSS Librarian will regularly interact with faculty, research scientists, instructors, students, and administrative staff to support all areas of research and teaching in the Division. They will blend established research library best practices with innovative and evidence-based services and teaching to strengthen the Institute’s research and learning programs. The HSS Librarian will also build the humanities and social sciences teaching and research collections for the Library, in collaboration with the members of the HSS Division.

Reporting to the Head of Research Services, this position will contribute HSS subject expertise and Divisional feedback to the instructional, reference, and collection management activities of the Library. They will work with other subject specialists in a collaborative, innovative team environment to provide service excellence at every phase of the research life cycle.
