Head of Research, Outreach and Inclusion, Santa Clara University Library

Santa Clara University seeks a creative, collaborative, and forward-thinking Head of Research, Outreach and Inclusion to lead the University Library’s research services, outreach programs, and library diversity and inclusion initiatives for the University community. This includes working closely with the Associate University Librarian for Learning and Engagement to develop customized programs and services related to diversity and inclusion, with the Head of Access and Delivery Services to coordinate the delivery of research assistance services, and with the Head of Instruction & Assessment to integrate information literacy in targeted programs and initiatives. In addition, this position provides specialized research consultation, instruction, and collection development for undergraduate programs for two or three academic departments and serves on the Library Management Council. The Head of Research, Outreach and Inclusion is the direct supervisor to subject librarians and reports to the Associate University Librarian for Learning & Engagement. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara University is California’s oldest operating institution of higher education and in 2017 received the ACRL Excellence in Academic Libraries Award. The position is available starting on or after July 1, 2021.
