The USC Libraries actively support the discovery, creation, and preservation of knowledge. We develop collections and services that support and encourage the academic endeavors of faculty, students, and staff; build a community of critical consumers of information; and help develop engaged world citizens. The USC Libraries have several positions available: Digital Imaging Specialist, Archivist, and Lead Archivist. These positions are one-year fixed-term positions.

The Digital Imaging Specialist will be an in-house expert on digitalization, post-processing, quality assurance, and digital asset management for the Libraries. This individual will support digitization initiatives and be a point-person for faculty, staff, and students when it comes to digitization equipment and software.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
- Minimum Experience: 2 years or combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.
- Minimum Field of Expertise: Working with CaptureOne digital capture software, experience with studio photography, proficiency in digital camera capture. Working with Cultural Heritage photography, experience with PhaseOne camera equipment, experience capturing aerial negatives, familiarity with DSLR and mirrorless camera hardware. Working knowledge of digital imaging tools, techniques, and processes. Working knowledge of computers, data entry, scanning tools and techniques. Familiar with use of Capture One Pro, Laserfiche, PaperStream Capture or other scanning software.
