Systems and Technology Librarian, University Libraries, Doheny Campus
(Please see posting for a full list of duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.)
The mission of Mount Saint Mary’s University Libraries is to inspire inquiry, foster intellectual and personal growth, and promote the effective use of information. As an academic library serving a diverse community, we are dedicated to providing access to information resources that reflect many voices and perspectives.
The Systems and Technology Librarian helps to foster a technologically advanced environment for the Mount Saint Mary’s University Libraries. They strive to problem solve, improve existing processes, and help others learn new technology skills. All MSMU librarians are expected to function well as a member of a highly collaborative team and to contribute to general reference and research services as needed.
A key role for the Systems and Technology Librarian is the administration of the integrated library system that underpins the operations of the Libraries and serves as a platform for other software applications such as discovery systems, link resolvers, library knowledge bases, and interlibrary loan programs. Additionally, the Systems and Technology Librarian directly supports or administers various library systems including but not limited to 3rd party library management applications, the library website, and the institutional repository. The Systems and Technology Librarian also implements and facilitates the lending of equipment to students with the support of the Office of Information Technology.
