The Resource Sharing Manager provides overall management of strategic, systemwide resource sharing initiatives within the Unified Library Management System (ULMS).  The ULMS supports returnable resource sharing for over 500,000 students, faculty, and staff, and holds about 23 million titles. This position develops strategies and direction for service delivery/integration, communications, support, and promotion of resource sharing services and planning in direct consultation with the CSU libraries and Chancellor’s Office Academic Technology leadership.

Reporting to the University Librarian, the Library Cataloger will provide leadership in developing, evaluating, and implementing workflows for authoring and managing metadata for library resources. The position provides original and copy cataloging of various materials across multiple formats. This is a half-time position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

LAC Group is seeking an experienced, remote Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) Indexer to work on a tremendous research project associated with a distinguished University. The project will focus on reading through US patents and assigning MeSH terms to them. This project should last 1-2 months and the schedule is part-time/flexible.   • Perform subject analysis and indexing of patents

The UCLA Library seeks a collaborative, motivated, and knowledgeable Public Health Outreach Librarian to support the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) in the Pacific Southwest Region (PSR).

The NNLM is funded through a cooperative agreement (grant) with the National Library of Medicine (NLM). The Regional Medical Library (RML) functions administratively as a division of the UCLA Library. The mission of the NNLM is to advance the progress of medicine and improve the public health, by providing equal access to biomedical information to all U.S. health professionals and by improving the public’s access to health information. The Pacific Southwest Region of the NNLM includes Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and U.S. Territories in the Pacific. The RML facilitates resource sharing and cooperative projects among a network of nearly 600 libraries in this region, including academic medical libraries, hospital and healthcare organization libraries, and a growing number of public libraries with consumer health collections.
