Elections Committee

The Past President chairs the Elections Committee (4 members) which calls for nominations and then runs each year's election in October. Election guidelines are posted.

Election of officers and directors-at-large shall follow the sequence shown:

Year Odd (2021, 2023, 2025, 2027, 2029)
Vice-President
Director at-large Private
Director-at-large Community College
Secretary

Year Even (2022, 2024, 2026, 2028)
Vice-President
Director-at-large UC
Director-at-large CSU

Every 3rd Year
Treasurer (2023, 2026, 2029)
Membership Director (2022, 2025, 2028)

The Director-at-large positions are two year terms. The Vice-Presidents shall serve three years. Vice-Presidents shall succeed to the office of President and then Past President. Officer duties are described in the CARL Bylaws.
