About SEAL-S
Science & Engineering Librarians - South (SEAL-S) is an interest group of the California Academic and Research Libraries Association (CARL), an independent chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). The information on this website is wholly the responsibility of CARL and implies no endorsement by ACRL National.
The objectives of SEAL shall be to:
- Provide opportunities for professional development, education, and participation for its members.
- Sponsor relevant workshops and programs.
- Provide a forum for peer interaction and networking.
- Enhance communication and services to our library clientele.
- Work with other California organizations in order to improve library service to the science and engineering academic and research community.
Join
To join SEAL-S, you need to join CARL. During the registration process, you select interest groups such as SEAL-S that you also want to join (for no additional fee).

; please feel free to add your pictures of SEAL-S events to the group's photo pool.
To add a picture to the pool:
- Log in to flickr.
- Join the CARL-SEALS group if you aren't a member yet.
- Go to the photo's page and click the "Send to Group" button between the photo title and the photo. Then choose the group you want to send it to, and you're done!
