Frequently Asked Questions

What is a "Watch Party"?

While the conference is technically virtual, CARL is hosting in-person watch parties to allow for networking, live discussion, and community building. You can go to a hosting campus to watch the Zoom sessions on a big screen with fellow colleagues.

How much does it cost to join an in-person watch party?

  • Cost included in CARL Virtual Conference 2026 registration.

  • Parking fees will be shared with watch party guests.

What should I bring to a watch party?

  • Laptop & Headsets: While sessions are screened publicly, you may want your own device for breakout sessions or taking notes.

  • Refillable Water Bottle: Most campuses provide hydration stations.

  • Networking Spirits: These events are the best way to meet peers in your region!

Will food be provided?

Most watch party locations may offer light refreshments (coffee, tea, and snacks). However, lunch is typically "on your own" unless specified by your local hosting coordinator.
