With the continued rise of misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation, we are finding that past sources of facts are becoming less and less reliable. News media, government websites, and even Generative AI contribute to the creation of mis/dis/mal information and we are even seeing rising cases of censorship, both through book challenges as well as the deletion of governmental records and information from formally reliable sources. As librarians, it can be exhausting to keep up, both within a classroom environment and when working with students in a reference capacity. This conference is open to all library professionals including students and early career librarians.
